I am wondering when is the 2011 FS picnic ?

  4. christine furman says:

I haven’t heard much about the picnic. Are we having one on the Mt Carmel Campus this 2011 summer.

  5. I have missed coming to the reunions as it has been tough to travel(not dependable vehicle to make trip or tight budget for gas money, timing all wrong & not even able to consider with something scheduled or taking summer classes.. Once our class of 1989 set up a time that we could all meet @ a dinner before the big day, wow! It was great to see everyone & catch up on what had change in their life. I have longed to attend again and see everyone & hear their stories now & share mine as well as share how God loved, protected, provided, & remained faithfully through all life’s joy, trouble’s, trails, failures, weak faith, personal anger & the question ‘Why?’. He has gone ahead of me so I do not get ahead of Him & somehow made me listen to His voice when I was so stubborn that I struggled against him for some time. He has been so… patient with me all my days, but even more so in the last 2 years. I love coming back to Mt. Carmel for it brings back such happiness, fun times, laughter, heart full of joy, memories & the beginning of a deeper spiritual walk with my best friend & Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ. I can’t leave out the lasting deep friendships made while attending school, and those very special ones that continue past graduation, even those faithful, trustworthy, honest, caring & loving to be beside you through it all, the good, bad & the ugly;) The last time I was there was in summer of 1995,a very difficult time in my life, but I made all the effort & it was so… rewarding;) I felt like it was a getaway from home & refreshing to see & catch up with formal classmates. I realize early this morning that it was about that time again, but didn’t know the date for the weekend. I was so… hoping not this one, because again I have plans already set for this weekend:( & Next weekend I would love to attend, but this year is the Nazarene’s church family camp in Summerville, West Virginia. We as a family have been invited to say 4 the whole weekend to get the most out of all the pastors & speakers :) I will make it back again, hoping in the year if 2012 0r 2013, if not, I definitely want to attend on my 25th class reunion:D-
All my prayers go out to the class of “1989″ We Rock!!!;);D Still:):D LY!<3 Hope to see every one there.:D <3<3<3 Maybe everyone can plan to fit into the busy summer of 2014's busy summer schedule;) I would love to see everyone in are class come, or at least try to make as much effort as possible:) We already had a tragic lost on of our beloved friends- Lori Blakley, who wrote our class song, "Christ shining through us". I believe her life was an example of that til the end, but I never seen her again since graduation & she was a very dear friend to me @ school & co-worker @ the candy store- Oh! the memories we made. After graduation & later hearing of her death, I regretted not making efforts to keep in better touch with those we love and touched our lives. I reflected on that and do not want to EVER miss out on another opportunity to reach out & reconnect with someone from my past, before it is to late. I want to share now how our class, each of you influenced and prepared me for life & how friendships can make all the difference to whether you succeed and reach your goals or fail because you didn't want to lean on others when you where in need of a friend & didn't allow them a chance to bless you with love & encouragement & support. A true friend will stand beside whether you ask him/her or not & want to share life's joys & sorrow with you despite whether you reach out for them for help. A am speaking from my own mistakes and have come to realize who my true friends are and how they have ALWAYS have been there for me to pick me up, hug me tight, or call when I am discouraged & wallowing in self-pity & forgetting the blessings of a friend for always knowing when I am down or in the pit of depression & wanting to give up & Always being their for me- Always!!! I want to share who this wonderful faithful friend are and how I would not still be standing if it had not been for her in my life. Let me explain with the following:

. from the very 1st day we met @ Mt. Carmel High School,
    .til dorming together,
.going to Natural Bridge for 1st time and weather was amazing with it going from ..being sunny, to raining, to hailing then back to sunny again. this all happened in the 1 time of visiting the hiking trail,
    .graduating with each other,
. going camping together w/her & her sister and my daughter @ Natural bridge ( spending are days swimming & nights playing Uno, sitting around camp fire & heading for a hike and all it did was the rain, rain, rain)
. come from afar to my wedding 1st.
. understanding that even tho I wanted you to be my maid-of -honor, but knewing my sister was my Best of friends .
writing me letters through out summers & calling me all year long to check in with on how life was going with me.
.Coming to visit me and my family in Pa when coming back from a wedding in the state.
& not only coming to my 2nd wedding, but being in it. I was so… thrilled to have you come a day early and stay @hotel night with you before my wedding. Waiting all those year & the joy of asking you to be my Maid-Of-Honor.
. coming in the Fall on year on trip back from wedding in Pennsylvania to visit me & my family.
& last but not least, keeping in touch after I moved & started new life here in Virginia with my new husband, Rob.
. checking in with Danielle that 1st Summer 2009, while she just moved to Ky . with her Dad & Stepfamily
. being willing to be 'on call' to meet with Rob & Danielle at such short notice & you willing to drop all your plans to meet our needs
.checking-up on me the first year of Danielle being gone from us as I struggle to embrace the reality of it all.
*Empty nest is for the strong, struggling faithful parents & children of God:)*
. you asking about me 1sthow I'm doing, despite the difficult time you are having dealing with your Mom's illness & listening til I am done-shew! that could be a while sometimes.
. & you sacrificing your needs to met the needs of others wholeheartedly, with no complaints, and not begrudgingly. You are the most selfless person i know other then my Rob & Mom. May God Bless you in this life and the one to come for all the wonderful qualities and gifts you share with others and being genuinely You, Always!
You are still my Bestest of Friends ;) <3<3<3Faithful Friends Forever, Lo <3<3<3

    I Love You, Sharon
I could never, EVER repay you for all you have been to me, done for me, and how you have & still keep blessing me & all those who you know and care for so… deeply, along with those people's path you cross each & everyday as you go about your weeks/& months/years. You are truly one e of a kind, EXTRA special and irreplaceable. I am Blessed in meeting you in 1985-6 school year & blessed beyond measure by knowing & growing with you, sharing in your joys, dreams, struggles & reminisce about days gone past. I am going about life my life knowing you are there for me even when there are so many miles in between us. We can start a conversation right where we left off & talk for minutes to hours at a time, but those times stored up in my heart never to be forgotten… You are a Forever, Faithfully Friend of all friends.
