Let’s Get it Done!

The Mount Carmel museum is well underway.  It is exciting to see things getting done.  Mr. Henry Clay Fitzpatrick, Class of 1942, is the man behind a lot of the work accomplished so far.  This man of action has brought work teams just to work on the museum, and has been named “The General” by Robert Cundiff.    

It is time to get the history of our school on display.  There are numerous treasured photos and nostalgic artifacts that have been in storage for years.  One item of interest is the boat that was made by the class of 1979 for their Jr./Sr. Banquet.  Yes, it is preserved and ready to be displayed once again.  (Photo included).  There are many more items that need to be showcased for us to enjoy.   

This museum project is something that we can help get done.  So what will it take? More money and more workers are necessary to complete this task.  We are in need of a plumber, electrician, and painters.  We also need folks who can complete the dry wall on the inside, put siding on the outside, lay “thin bricks” against a wire mesh backing, and build display cabinets.
